Is medical doctor since 1985, specialized in Resuscitation and Anesthesia, in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine. Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases and Immunological Therapies. For many years, she has been responsible for the Italian Red Cross Health Cooperation. In 2005 and 2006, she managed all of the Italian Red Cross projects after the Tsunami in Sri Lanka. In 2007-2009 Health Director of the “Asyluum Seekers and Refugees Camp (C.A.R.A.)” in Castelnuovo di Porto (Italy). In 2010-2011 IFRC – International Federation of Red Cross/ Red Crescent – “Health and Care Coordinator for South-Asia”. She participates to the Agrinovia project led by the Faculty of Sociology at Ouagadoudou, Burkina Faso and many other similar projects. Since 2000 she has been focusing her studies on the link amongst “Women empowerment, health and Human Rights”. Currently she is professor of Moral Philosophy at the “International UniCamillus University” of Rome.
