MD is a specialist in emergency medicine, actively involved in the care and rescue of fragile populations in developing countries and areas of war. She is working with the non-governmental organization (NGO) Emergency in Afghanistan. She previously worked at The “Salam” Center for Cardiac Surgery in Khartoum (Sudan). She is attending a PhD in infectious diseases at the Sapienza University of Rome.
